Winter is a nice time to visit Kamchatka. There are less tourists, than in summer, and airfares are cheaper. As for volcanoes and the Pacific ocean, they are always stunning no matter of the season. Moreover, in winter you can also go dog sledding and snowmobiling and relax in the thermal springs surrounded by the snow-capped mountains.

After meeting at the airport, you will be taken to a hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or Paratunka (depending on the accommodation option you choose). You will check into the rooms and relax. If you wish, you can swim in the thermal pool (if you have chosen a hotel in Paratunka).
On this day you will get acquainted with the sights of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The tour will begin with a visit to one of the museums of the city: the "Vulcanarium" or the Local History Museum.
"Vulcanarium" is an interactive museum in which the volcanic processes of Kamchatka are clearly presented. And the exposition of the Museum of Local lore introduces the history of the discovery and exploration of Kamchatka, as well as its indigenous inhabitants.
You will also walk along the central Theater Square and the embankment, see the monuments to Saints Nicholas and Paul, the stele of military glory, the Maksutov battery on Nikolskaya Sopka. In good weather, visit the observation deck on the High-rise.
After lunch at the restaurant you can stop by the fish market and souvenir shops. In the evening, you will return to the hotel and have dinner on your own.
After breakfast, you will travel by tracked vehicle or snowmobile sled along the dry river bed to the base camp located at an altitude of 850 m (1 hour journey). You will warm up with hot tea and then head to the Avachinsky pass by tracked vehicle or sled (the choice of transport depends on the size of the group).
In good weather, you will enjoy views of Avacha bay, the Vilyuchinsky, Mutnovsky, Gorely, and Zhupanovsky volcanoes, and the Nalachevsky nature park - a UNESCO world heritage site. After the trip to the pass, you will have a snack with hot tea in a heated mountain canteen.
In the evening, you will return to the hotel, have dinner on your own, and rest.

On this day you will be placed in a sled behind a snowmobile and go along the coast of the Pacific Ocean to Cape Mayachny (tourists are accommodated in passenger sleds for 6-8 people, if necessary, you will be given warm clothes and shoes). Here is the oldest lighthouse of the Far East - "Petropavlovsk", built in 1850.
The cape offers a picturesque view of the Avacha Bay, the volcanoes surrounding it and the famous rocks "Three Brothers" - one of the main symbols of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. On the route you will have a small snack (sandwiches with hot tea and sweets), and in the evening you will return to the hotel and have dinner (extra charge).
The length of the route is 20-24 km.
In the morning after breakfast you will have a guided tour of the sled dog kennel and dog sledding (the duration of the program is about 3-4 hours). You will also get acquainted with the history of the indigenous population of Kamchatka and will be able to arrange a photo shoot in national costumes.
After sledding you will have a hot lunch, and then you will be taken to the radon springs "Zelenovsky Ozerki", where you will swim in the thermal pool. In the evening you will return to the hotel and relax.
You can spend this day on your own: just relax in the hotel and the thermal pool, take a walk around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or book additional excursions. If the weather is favorable and the group is recruited, we recommend taking a helicopter tour with a flyby of the Southern Group of volcanoes for an additional fee. You will admire the picturesque crater of the active Mutnovsky volcano and the acid lakes of the Gorely volcano. You are waiting for a landing in the caldera of the ancient volcano Ksudach, where you will explore Lake Shtyubel and Klyuchevskoe. During the landing at the Khodutka volcano, you will swim in hot springs.
After breakfast you will visit the fish market where you can buy Kamchatka delicacies and souvenirs. Then you will be taken to the airport to depart home.
